Transparency

As the Medical Board strives to provide increased transparency to the public, below you will find reported data for the number of submitted and closed complaints, citations and settlement agreements, and allegations of licensee misconduct for a calendar year. To view these different metrics, click on the menu icon in the top-left corner and select the desired option. You can also choose a different calendar year from the drop-down menu.  You will notice some of the graphs include a circle with a question mark; hover your mouse over this icon for additional information.

Sexual Misconduct Working Group

On May 20, 2019, Governor Mike DeWine issued Executive Order 2019-16D, creating the Governor’s Working Group on Reviewing of the Medical Board’s Handling of the Investigation Involving Richard Strauss. In response to the Working Group's recommendations to improve the handling of sexual misconduct complaints, the Medical Board worked diligently to implement effective practices and policies that better protect the public. The board submitted its final report detailing these improvements on January 6, 2021. Click here to read the Working Group's Closing Report.
